Even in care facilities where the cafeteria is the main focus, there are serving carts.

The usual staff, the usual flavor, served in a private room! We deliver at the perfect temperature so the quality of the meal does not decline.

Meals at nursing facilities are an important place for communication. Smiles and conversation also help improve the quality of life (QOL) for residents. However, when an infectious disease outbreak occurs, it is necessary to provide meals in private rooms. For facilities that have only been providing meals in dining rooms until now, sudden adjustments for private room service may be challenging. It involves unfamiliar heavy labor and requires more personnel. Since this happens three times a day, adjusting work shifts is difficult, and additional staff will be needed at all times except during the night. In such cases, having a hot and cold meal delivery cart readily available allows for serving with fewer staff members. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related link. Cook Serve's Kitchen Plan

The equipment-related running costs are low! Since there are few ingredients and equipment to stock, a small kitchen is sufficient.

We would like to introduce our "Cook Serve Kitchen Plan." The Cook Serve method involves cooking meals for patients each time they are served. Cooking is done while controlling the core temperature and time. Meals are provided using temperature-controlled serving carts (timely and temperature-appropriate serving carts). Additionally, due to the limited stock of ingredients and fewer pieces of equipment, a small-scale kitchen is sufficient. 【Features】 ■ Lower initial costs for equipment ■ A small-scale kitchen is sufficient due to limited stock of ingredients and fewer pieces of equipment ■ Lower operational costs for facilities *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The history of the erector and serving cart that dates back 50 years.

From 1970 to 2020! A column introducing the history of our company and serving carts.

We will introduce the history of serving carts and Elektra, which has been making serving carts for 50 years. It may be difficult to clearly define the year when serving carts first appeared in Japan. This is because there were already carts being used as serving carts on-site before dedicated serving carts were introduced as products. These were the Elektra Shelves. The Elektra Shelf is a wire rack originally developed by a company called InterMetro in the United States. Elektra Co., Ltd. introduced it to Japan and has been involved in its development and manufacturing. In 1968, the "Super Elektra Shelf," which could be equipped with optional movable casters, was developed, leading to an increase in hospitals using it for serving purposes. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related links. It is ideal to separate serving carts and clearing carts. What is the reality in hospitals?

Here are three reasons why it is better to separate serving carts and clearing carts, as discussed in the column!

It may be common sense for those involved in hygiene management, but it is best to separate serving carts and clearing carts. By making the process from serving to clearing a one-way system, we can prevent cross-contamination. However, in reality, many facilities do not separate them. In facilities that provide collective meals, such as hospitals and nursing homes, I believe operations are conducted based on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Hygiene Management Manual for Large-Scale Cooking Facilities." While there are detailed regulations regarding cooking methods, ingredient management, time and temperature control from cooking to consumption, there are no specifications on whether to use serving carts, whether serving carts should be hot and cold serving carts, or how clearing should be done. *For more details on the column, please refer to the related link.
